EVALUATION  OF THE MEETING IN MADRID, JANUARY 2016

We can say that the evaluation is positive since all the activities that were programmed, were done and students and teachers took active part in them.

Most of the students enjoyed the meeting and they say that they have learnt how to help the environment. However, some students would have preferred to have more activities in the afternoon, since they consider they have spent too much time with their host families.

Goodbye

This meeting has finished but we are ready to prepare the next one, we hope we'll enjoy as much as in Madrid

Thrusday 21t

We visited Valdemingómez landfill, although it's a smelly and awful place it made us realise that rubbish is a big issue and we have to be aware of it.

Then we visit Madrid by bus, some of the students almost died frozen. They had time for shopping in the city center

Wednesday at school

We have had a busy day, we started with the rubbish workshop, the creative students made lots of crafts with Dora Naya's help.

 

Jaime Meléndez Thacker, manager of Ecoembes has spoken about Ecoembes and the importance of recycling.


Finally, the students watched a piece of two documentaries: "Le Glaneur and les Glaneses" and "Planned Obsolescence" in order to be aware of our society of consumption.

Valsaín and Segovia

On our second day of the meeting we have visited the sustainable forest of Valsaín in Segovia

We walked in the forest, they jumped rivers and run down the hills.

 

We went to Segovia to have lunch and visit the city

          They came back as happy as when they left, great students!

First Day of the Meeting

It's been a quiet day, the students have been chatting in groups of 8 trying to get to know each other.

A typical Spanish breakfast: "Chocolate con Churros"

The students have shown their Power Point Presentations, the audience listens carefully, they are learning quite a lot!!

And in the afternoon.... walking in Madrid.
